Opening times of the cathedral  and the treasure

 

There has been a tornade in Tournai on 14 August 1999 which caused much damage in the higher parts of the choir of the cathedral, involving its partial and/or total closure to the public according to the periods. The choir will remain closed for a further few years but remains visible from the transept and the nave.

 

 

 

 

Opening times of the cathedral
From 1st November until 31 March : everyday from 9:15 am to 12:00 am and from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
From 1st April until 30 October: everyday from 9:15 am to 12:00 am and from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.

Opening times of the treasure of the cathedral
From 1st November until 31 March : everyday from 9:30 am to 12:00 am and from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
From 1st April until 30 October: everyday from 9:30 am to 12:00 am and from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
Closed on Saturday morning, Sunday morning, and the mornings of bank holidays.

 

Service times
Everyday: 11 o’clock am.
Saturday’s and Sunday’s : 10 o’clock am.

 

  

Changes in the opening times and access

Although the transept and the nave remain open to the public, in case there would be a temporary closure because of works or archeological excavations, information will be mentioned in the events programme which you can consult by  clicking here (in French)
